I am contacting you as someone potentially interested in building future capacity within their digital, data and technology workforce to join an upcoming webinar on Friday 29thMay at 12:30.
Please do feel free to forward this onto your colleagues.
I am currently supporting the Building A Digital Ready Workforce Programme and one of the projects within the portfolio is supporting the national rollout of the NHS Graduate Digital, Data and Technology Schemes (Previously known as the Fast Track Informatics & Technology Scheme).
Although currently I am not directly involved in this project, as most of you know I am really passionate about this area and the opportunity to bring new talent into our workforce so I am sharing this with people who may be interested – mainly those I have worked with across the South regions over the years.
The scheme aims to increase the number of individuals coming into the health care system with digital, data & technology skills while also addressing diversity ratios for females and BAME, regional variations and support career changers.
Following successful pilots in London, the North West and Yorkshire & Humber, it is now being rolled out nationally and is commissioned by Health Education England. The scheme is based on a grow your own model where the scheme assess thousands of graduates that apply every year, for managers to select from to join their teams.
More information on the scheme can be found here: https://www.graduatesintohealth.co.uk/imtgraduatescheme
If you want to find out more about the national rollout and how you can get involved as an organisation, Digital Health are hosting a webinar on Friday 29th May at 12:30. Topics covered will include what the application process entails for organisations (and individuals), as well as hearing first hand from those sharing their experiences of the scheme to date.
This will be chaired by Jon Hoeksma with presenters Lisa Emery (CIO, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust), Louise Brennan (Graduate Scheme Programme Manager, Health Innovation Network) and Alan Davies (Innovative Programmes & Partnerships Director, Health Education England).
The link to register for the webinar is here: https://www.digitalhealth.net/events/webinar-grad-informatics-and-technology-scheme-national-expansion/
I won’t be presenting but will certainly be dialling in to listen to the conversation. I hope to see some of you there. If you are interested in finding out more I’d recommend joining the webinar in the first instance and checking out the webinar.
Best Wishes
Aasha
