D&C modelling post COVID-19

The Demand and Capacity Team will be hosting a series of webinars over the Summer to share good practice on demand and capacity planning post COVID-19.  These sessions are designed to support providers as they re-open elective services. NHSE/I will look into how they model capacity and plan the provision of care for our patients accessing these services moving forward.


Fundamentals of demand and capacity modelling

The first in this series of webinars will be revisiting the fundamentals of demand and capacity modelling through the lens of COVID-19. This is an introductory webinar for anyone new to demand and capacity modelling.

Demand and capacity journey – first steps

Know you need to start modelling the reopening of your services but not sure where to start? The second in this series of webinars will be hosted by Rob Aherne from Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, who will discuss the approach he is planning to take to this challenge. Rob is looking at the impact on testing, PPE and infection control measures as sites re-open and how to use the D&C core model to help understand the impact of this.
