PRSB survey on community mental health care planning standard

Posted : October 16, 2020 - /

Dear Colleagues,

The NHS is working with social care and the voluntary sector to develop new community-based services for people with serious mental health problems. NHS England/Improvement have commissioned the Professional Record Standards Body (PRSB) to help create tools to improve care planning for this group of mental health service users.

PRSB is a not-for-profit organisation that develops and helps to implement standards for the information that should be recorded in health and social care records. We are updating and enhancing the existing Digital Care and Support Plan information standard and other standards e.g. the Core Information Standard, to support digital sharing of care plans for working-age adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions being cared for in the community.

We would like service users, health and care professionals and organisations who work with and support those with mental health conditions to read this consultation document and  respond on behalf of yourself or your organisation on the information needed for care planning. You can access the document here. Please participate before the deadline which is 5pm on 30th October.

Please contact info@theprsb.org If you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Alannah McGovern
